The team won medals in men’s class 1, men’s class 8 and women’s class 4 in the Slovenia Open last week but had to withdraw from men’s class 6 following a knee injury to Wetherill in the singles event. Karabardak is due to return to competition after injuring his foot in the team event in Italy in March having won gold in the men’s class 6 singles.

“The competition in Slovakia will be tough,” said BPTT Performance Director Gorazd Vecko, “and we have a mix of youth and experience in our squad. This is an important tournament but we are also looking to the future and for our younger players this will be valuable experience in preparation for the European Championships later this year.”
